5-year-old found unresponsive in water at Great Escape Lodge Water Park; now in stable condition

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says a 5-year-old resident of Hudson was found unresponsive in the water at Six Flags Great Escape Lodge Water Park on Saturday.

Authorities say she was transported via Life Net to an Albany Hospital and is now in stable condition.

Six Flags Great Escape reached out to NewsChannel 13 with a statement:

Ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests is paramount to us which is why we have certified lifeguards and emergency personnel on property. Early yesterday evening, our on-site lifeguard and EMT team responded to a young swimmer in distress, providing immediate care. Emergency medical services were called; the guest was breathing when transported to a hospital for further attention.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by West Glens Falls EMS, Queensbury Central Fire, and the New York State Police.
