$500,000 will be going towards the destroyer escort museum, at the USS Slater, in Albany.

The investments include new a visitors’ center, gift shop, and parking lot.
The money is made possible through federal money from the American Rescue Plan.
The USS Slater is the last destroyer escort afloat in the United States.
