North Adams Police are investigating, after 70 cats were removed from a home at 34 Francis Street.

When police went into the home on Monday, they found the cats living in what they called “extremely unsuitable conditions,” NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Berkshire Eagle reported.

It took two days to remove the cats from the home.

At this time, the homeowner is not being charged.

The cats are being cared for at several different animal shelters.
