Gov. Kathy Hochul is directing several New York state landmarks to light up with blue for 9/11. She is also calling for all flags on state buildings to be flown at half-staff.

The governor expressed her gratitude for those who served in the aftermath of the attacks and says her thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives.

Some local landmarks that will be illuminated include the Albany International Airport Gateway and the Empire State Plaza.
