Brunswick man admits to stabbing three people

A man has admitted to stabbing three people outside an apartment complex in September.

Anthony Cresser, 25, pleaded guilty in Rensselaer County Court on Wednesday to two counts of second-degree attempted murder, according to the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office.

Cresser was arrested after police said he lured his neighbors outside their Brunswick apartment and stabbed them in an attempt to steal their vehicle.

“Thankfully there were witnesses who immediately called 911,” said Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly. “Thank you to the New York State Police who arrived quickly and arrested Cresser at the scene.”

Cresser faces 15 years and 5 years of post-release supervision when sentenced on Feb. 28.
