NewsChannel 13 stopped by the station in Schenectady Monday where it pulls up.
The new line heads through the Hudson Valley into Montreal, and also connects to other top U.S. cities including New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.
Monday’s changes include trains on that route leaving earlier, between New York and Toronto.
Two trains also begin travel into Canada this week.
U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer applauds the Adirondack line getting back on track, saying its vital in connecting communities of upstate New York.
