It’s a busy time for outdoor gatherings and events.

People organizing several local events this week are facing tough decisions about whether to cancel.

Even if you don’t have breathing issues, you might be struggling.

That’s disappointing news for events looking to bring people outside.

The Bike to Work Challenge was supposed to take place around the Capital Region on Thursday.

The organizers at the Capital Region Transportation Committee have made the tough decision to postpone it until later this month because of the air.

The event partners with the city of Albany to encourage biking, and encourage employers to support other ways of getting to work that aren’t driving a car. The event will start with a bike ride from Washington Park when it happens later in June.
