The departure and arrival board at Albany International Airport seemed to be more normal on Friday than it was earlier this week.

More than 11,000 flights across the country were canceled over the past week. Roughly 87% of those cancelations – according to flight tracking information – were Southwest Airlines flights.

That meant the holiday travel season 2022 was filled with chaos, inconvenience and nightmares.

One family was returning home from Florida after a Christmas vacation. They were supposed to be home on Monday, but the earliest flight they could get was the Friday after.

Hear about their frustrations – and just how long they all waited in the airport – by watching the video of Dan Levy’s story.
