Albany burger spot sees uptick in deliveries during snowstorm
As the season’s first major snowfall comes to end, we checked in with some local businesses to see how they were affected by the wintry mix.
Herbie’s Burgers shift manager Isiah Thomas said the winter storm brought an uptick of food deliveries. “Anytime there’s major weather, we have so much increase in tickets, but it doesn’t bother me. We still get it done,” he said.
With the accumulation of snow on the ground, there was a concern for safety; but employees like Deandre Blanchard say they took turns shoveling the sidewalk. “We had to make sure that the customers were safe, so we took some time before opening to shovel and make sure the sidewalk was clear,” said Blanchard.
As the storm came to an end, the roads and sidewalks were clear, but drivers are still advised to drive with caution.
