Patrick Corbett arrested for alleged role in burglary

The Albany County Sheriff's Office arrested Patrick Corbett for allegedly burglarizing a home in Rensselaerville on November 29.

The Albany County Sheriff’s Office said a Middleburgh man is facing burglary and larceny charges.

Patrick Corbett, 43, allegedly went into someone’s home in the town of Renssealerville in the middle of the night on Nov. 29 and stole several items, including an ATV and two safes that had six guns in it, Sheriff Craig Apple.

Apple said a search warrant for Corbett’s arrest was sent out for him.

Corbett is accused of also taking a keyboard, night vision binoculars, hunting equipment and over 3,000 rounds of ammunition.

The 43-year-old was arraigned in Rensselaerville Court and released on probation, Apple said.

Corbett was charged with one count of second-degree burglary (a class C felony), one count of second-degree criminal mischief (a class D felony), and one count of third-degree larceny (a class D felony).

The Sheriff’s Office said an order of protection was issued for the victim.
