Albany Firewolves eager to host first playoff game
The Albany Firewolves are hosting a playoff game for the first time in the lacrosse team’s history.
The team is playing the Halifax Thunderbirds Sunday afternoon at MVP Arena and players and fans are getting excited.
Coach Glenn Clark, player Tye Kurtz and team President Chris Porreca sat down with NewsChannel 13’s Faith King to talk about the team’s season.
“The fan support has been amazing. We’re excited to give them something to cheer for,” Kurtz said. “We’re coming into this game confident. We’re going to do whatever we can to keep this season going.”
Porreca said that this year, the team has some young players who are out in the schools and at community events.
“That’s really helped out attendance and people coming out and supporting us,” he said.
