Thousands of people will head to Albany on Sunday for the annual Capital Pride Parade & Festival.

The parade kicks off at 11:45 Sunday morning, starting down State Street onto Lark Street and then Madison Avenue.

The festival is held after the parade in Washington Park.

New this year, festival organizers are partnering with CDTA to give shuttle rides to and from the event.

This is the largest pride celebration in the Northeast, outside of New York City and Boston.
