The Capital City put on a grand parade and festival to celebrate it right.

After months of prep, there was a parade and opening ceremony held Saturday before an independence parade march went off nearby on State and Willett Streets.
After, crowds gathered for Filipino food, music and shopping from vendors selling products from the Philippines.
The chairwoman of the event tells us the Philippines is very rich in culture.

Last month, Albany’s common council passed a resolution officially recognizing June12th, 2023 as the 125th anniversary of Philippine independence.
