Albany man allegedly driving drunk with kids in car
An Albany man is accused of drunken driving with three young kids in the vehicle.
Floyd E. Joseph, 31, was stopped on Friday just before 11 a.m. in the area of Clinton Avenue and Dove Street for a traffic violation. When speaking to Joseph, detectives smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage and observed signs of impairment, the Albany County Sheriff’s Office said. Joseph refused field sobriety tests, they said.
There were open containers of alcohol in the vehicle and none of the children were properly secured in car seats, police said.
Joseph was charged with aggravated DWI, DWI, endangering the welfare of a child and several traffic violations.
