Albany man arrested for alleged assault on Central Avenue

An Albany man is in jail after he allegedly cut another man’s face and hands on Central Avenue earlier this month.

The incident occurred at the Townsend Park Apartments on August 1, according to Albany Police Department.

At around 8 P.M. that night, James Holmes, 59, allegedly assaulted the victim.

On Friday, Holmes was arrested on assault and criminal weapon possession charges, said officials.
