Albany man arrested for stealing from organization meant to help veterans

An Albany man is arrested for allegedly stealing money from an organization meant to serve wartime veterans.

Christopher Johnson had forged checks named to him and later deposited them at a bank in Colonie, state police said.

He stole more than $3,500 from the American Legion post 415 in Clifton Park.

He was arraigned and released.
