Albany man arrested on assault charges

An Albany man is arrested and being charged with assault.

Teadric Moten was arrested Tuesday following a domestic dispute on Washington Avenue in Albany, the Albany County Sheriffs Office says.

Officers say they saw a physical altercation between Moten and his girlfriend while they were driving on Washington Avenue.

Moten was caught striking the victim in the face with a closed fist causing an injury.

He also forcibly removed the victim’s prescription glasses from her face.

Moten tried to flee on foot but was caught after a quick chase.

He’s being charged with robbery, assault, unlawful imprisonment, obstructing governmental administration, and menacing.

Moten was transported to the Albany County Correctional Facility and is scheduled to be arraigned at Albany City Court on Wednesday, April 12.
