Man gets 10 years in prison for gun possession
An Albany man was sentenced on Wednesday to 10 years in prison for firing a gun at an occupied vehicle.
Ernest Legree, 20, was arrested after police said he tried to cause the death of another person by firing into a vehicle on Nov. 30, 2022. He also possessed an illegal handgun twice in January 2023.
Legree pleaded guilty in Albany County Court in October to one count of criminal possession of a weapon to satisfy all charges.
He also must serve five years of post-release supervision.
Assistant District Attorney Bryanne Perlanski handled the prosecution of this case.
