Albany man in critical condition after being hit by car in Pittsfield; one of two crashes by same driver

Albany resident Noor Khan Zadran, 26, was hit by a car in Pittsfield on Friday, November 3 and remains in critical condition at Albany Medical Center, according to Pittsfield Police.

Shortly after that incident, Pittsfield police noted the same driver was involved in a second crash at the intersection of West Housatonic St and Lebanon Ave with a 2019 GMC pickup truck.

The vehicle then drove off the road and crashed into a tree on West Housatonic St, said Pittsfield Police.

Zadran was transported first to Berkshire Medical Center, then taken by helicopter to Albany Medical Center and is in critical condition, said Pittsfield Police. The driver involved in multiple crashes was taken to Berkshire Medical Center.

The incidents remain under investigation by Officer Gallagher of the Pittsfield Police Dept. Traffic Unit.
