Albany man sentenced in child pornography case

An Albany man is sentenced to over 12 years in prison for child pornography.

Christopher Pratt, 58, admitted to distributing, receiving and possessing child pornography files over the internet through a peer-to-peer file sharing program.

Pratt also admitted to storing numerous child pornography images – including depictions of sexual abuse and rape of prepubescent children and toddlers – on his laptop.

Once out of prison, Pratt faces 15 years of supervised release.

The case is a part of “Project Safe Childhood,” a program which prosecutes individuals who exploit children online, and assists victims.
