Albany Med employee accused of stealing from sleeping cancer patient

An employee from Albany Medical Center who was indicted for stealing from a sleeping cancer patient was arraigned in court on Monday morning.

Caitlin Mullaney pleaded not guilty to grand larceny charges.

Mullaney, 36, was working as a patient care technician in the facility’s emergency room, when she stole a ring from a patient who was sleeping on a stretcher.

Mullaney was released. She is due back in court in September.
