Albany Med hospital worker accused of stealing from sleeping cancer patient

An Albany Med employee, who was assigned to care for patients diagnosed with cancer, is now accused of stealing from a patient.

36-year-old Caitlin Mullaney was working as a patient care technician in Albany Medical Center’s emergency room and stole a ring from a 75-year-old patient who was sleeping on a stretcher, while waiting for treatment, Albany Police said.
Mullaney is now charged with grand larceny.
