There is a death investigation in Albany after a body was found on Friday.

The body was discovered in the area of Third Street and Thornton Street on Friday morning, shortly after 8 a.m.

Albany Police tell us it is a 51-year-old man, but they did not identify him.

Right now, the cause of death is not known.

Police say the death does not appear to be suspicious.
