Albany Police: Two arrested for Elberon Place robbery

Albany Police arrested Kygii Humes, 20, and Alahvion Snipes, 18, for a robbery that happened on Wednesday.

Police say that the report was taken at Center Station for a robbery that happened in the area of Elberon Place and South Lake Avenue.

Humes pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded them for their cellphone. Snipes was also in possession of a handgun during the robbery, said Albany Police.

The victim was unharmed during the incident.

Police found Humes and Snipes in the area of Delaware Avenue and Morris Street on Friday and took them into custody.

Humes was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree robbery, and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Snipes was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree robbery, and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Albany Police said both were arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and sent to the Albany County Jail.
