Jonathan Damphier has months of physical therapy ahead of him, according to a GoFundMe page set up for him.

Damphier was shot in the leg. His femur was shattered, and he had to get multiple blood transfusions in the days after surgery, according to the page.

Damphier has been with Albany Police for three years and is also a military police officer in the Army Reserve.

The GoFundMe has raised more than $36,000. Donations are no longer being accepted.
