Albany Police ratify new contact

Police officers and detectives in Albany have overwhelmingly ratified their new contract.

The city’s mayor and police chief, and Police Benevolent Association president say the contract provides officers and detectives with a 2% across-the-board annual salary increase through 2026.

It also provides members with compensation increases totaling about 14% over four years.
