Rensselaer woman accused of hitting man with car

A Rensselaer woman is accused of hitting man with her car.

A Rensselaer woman is accused of intentionally hitting a man with vehicle and leaving the scene.

The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29 in the area of Central and Lexington avenues. Albany Police said Angel Vandebogart, 25, struck the 25-year-old victim.

He was treated on scene for a leg injury and then taken to Albany Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said it was a domestic-related incident.

Vandebogart was found in Troy and arrested. She was charged with first-degree assault and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.

Vandebogart was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and sent to Albany County Jail.
