Albany regatta highlights Capital Region rowers

Capital Region rowers got the chance to hit the water over the weekend in Albany.

The 35th annual Head of The Hudson Regatta was held Sunday morning at the Corning Preserve.

The event brings in a wide range of competitors from the area, including high school athletes, college rowers, and club teams from across multiple states.

The race course spans the Hudson River, starting north of the I-90 bridge and wrapping up at the Riverfront Amphitheater at Jennings Landing.

The competition included a number of different types of boats, from singles, doubles, and pairs, to quads, fours, and eights.
