Albany Academies closed for the day after threat reported
Albany Police say school officials at The Albany Academies decided to close the school for the day on Monday some students got a threatening message on Sunday night.
In an alert sent to families, officials say the threat read, “If you value your life, don’t come to school tomorrow.”
That threat was apparently texted to several students then spread again on Snapchat, according to Albany Police Spokesperson Megan Craft.
School officials are asking anyone who may have gotten the text to report it to police.
