Albany woman dies at 109

A 109-year-old woman whose birthday party NewsChannel 13 covered last year has died.

Margaret Riccardi celebrated her 109^th birthday on March 8, 2023 at Peregrine Shaker Senior Living. Her party had music, cake and family.

According to her obituary, she died peacefully in November after a sudden illness.

Riccardi “loved life and everything it had to offer her,” the obituary said.
