Albany’s popular Oktoberfest 5K is back this year, and it is once again teamed up with Saturday’s block party at Wolff’s Biergarten.

So it makes sense that after you finishing running the 5K, you get a free beer.

This is a race that has not only drawn 1,000 runners at its height in 2019, but it also attracts the most competitive and creative.

People have run this Oktoberfest 5K in full German garb.

There are more perks than that free beer.

With your registration to run, you’ll also get into the block party and you’ll get a free beer stein.

COVID canceled the event the last two years, but race director Jimmy Miller says he’s excited to have a big group of runners back to keep in the tradition of benefiting local organizations.

If you sign up before Saturday, you’ll save $5 on registration.
