Altamont Fair officially opens for the season

The annual Altamont Fair officially kicked off Tuesday afternoon.
Several events and attractions are free with admission, including the Royal Hannaford Family Circus, the Demolition Derby, Robinson’s Racing Pigs as well as a new live shark exhibit.
The cost of these events are included with admission while tickets for rides are available separately, the fair manager said.
The Altamont Fair will remain open until this upcoming Sunday.
