Altamont man convicted of child sex abuse

A jury found an Altamont man guilty of sexually abusing a child.
Court documents say 40-year-old Thomas Bessette engaged in sexual conduct with a child under the age of 13.
It happened between January 2020 and March 2021 in Guilderland.
Bessette faces up to seven years in prison when sentenced November 29.
