Amphitheater fire won’t stop Fourth of July in Lake George
Live events at the amphitheater are one of the biggest attractions for Lake Georgia, especially in the summer, especially ahead of the Fourth of July holiday. Despite a fire there earlier this week, the show will go on.
An amphitheater fire in Lake George’s Shepard Park early Monday morning didn’t stop the village from quickly putting on a show.
A live Tom Petty tribute band played a concert Tuesday, just two days after the fire destroyed the structure.
Live events at the Shepard Park amphitheater are one of the biggest attractions for summer tourism, especially on a holiday week in Lake George.
Lake George plans to rebuild the structure, but that will take time. A temporary set up will suffice for now.
The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical. Luckily, no one was hurt.
