Amsterdam sex offender now facing animal cruelty charges

A sex offender is now facing animal cruelty charges.
James Dean, 46, didn’t complete his required annual sex offender registration, said police.
When police went to check up on him, they found five dogs living at his address, which seemed to be abandoned, they said.
The dogs were found on different floors and one was in a kennel.
The animals are now at the Montgomery County SPCA.
