At least two Capital Region school districts received threats on Friday.
According to a statement released by the superintendent, someone phoned the high school with a bomb threat, and also claimed a student may bring a gun to school.
In order to keep students and staff safe, the high school went under a hold-in-place, meaning everyone was to remain in their rooms.
Amsterdam Police and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office searched the building. No threats were found.
Meanwhile, Troy Police say they were called to several schools due to threats.
While there does not appear to be any credible threat, they said, there was heavy police presence in the area.
Schools were placed in lockout protocols for the remainder of the day.
