Amsterdam women charged in 19-month-old child’s death

Two Amsterdam women have been arrested for their role in the death of a 19-month-old child last October.
Amsterdam police responded to a call for a 19-month-old child not breathing and suffering unknown medical distress.
The child passed away from non-accidental trauma, they said.
Kristen Burke is facing charges for manslaughter, assault, criminally negligent homicide and endangering the welfare of a child.
Christina Kazala is facing charges for endangering the welfare of a child. Burke was taken to jail on bail, and Kazala was released and due back in court at a later date, police said.
The investigation continues.
