April 1 state budget deadline quickly approaches

The New York state budget is due at the end of the week.

Gov. Kathy Hochul has said public safety is her administration’s top priority.

The budget includes $337 million towards programs designed to prevent and reduce gun violence.

That includes more than $84 million for youth employment programs.
