Aquatic Development Group host outdoor wave pool in Cohoes

The Aquatic Development Group, also known as ADG, partnered with AMP-Surf to do its part to give back. they put a wave pool in their parking lot.


A local man is sharing his joy with the help of a wave pool.


AMP-Surf is a program for those who have disabilities and amputees that crave the rush of the water to a surfboard.


Christiaan Bailey also known as “The Otter” was in a life-altering accident, but that didn’t shake his love for surfing.


“I grew up in Santa Cruise. So in Santa Cruise surfing is kind of like a birthright. So, the ocean has always been my playground. Most kids might bike or play baseball or football. for me, the ocean is my playground,” Bailey said.


ADG is hoping to expand its surf clinics to other organizations in the Capital Region.
