New York State Attorney General Letitia James is opening an investigation into the company handling migrants across New York state, DocGo.
As first reported by the New York Times, James is investigating allegations that the company gave inaccurate information to migrants about employment opportunities.
James is looking into “explicit or implicit threats” made by DocGo, and that the company possibly took “other actions that may jeopardize migrants’ ability to obtain asylum”.
