Automakers announce plan to construct charging stations

A major automaker is proposing a network that would put charging plugs at 50 mile intervals along U.S. highways.

General motors, pilot travel centers, and EVgo are announcing the plan to build two thousand charging stalls at up to 500 gas stations across the country.

Construction will start this summer with the first chargers usable sometime next year.
