Averill Park grad beats Biden in American Samoa presidential primary
Averill Park High School grad Jason Palmer beat President Joe Biden in the primary held in the U.S. territory of American Samoa. Palmer won 51 to 40.
Averill Park High School grad Jason Palmer beat President Joe Biden in the primary held in the U.S. territory of American Samoa.
Palmer won 51 to 40.
Now a venture capitalist, he admitted he has never even visited the territory, but says the people there have been wonderful to him.
Palmer was also on the ballot in Colorado and Vermont.
He said he’s on the ballot in 16 states and territories this cycle. His goal is to amass enough delegates to influence the convention – and make education a priority.
“I’m 100% committed to core values, like kindness, respect, and inclusion. We’ve got to change the way we behave in our national politics,” he said in a video message.
With only six delegates at stake, losing American Samoa will not impact President Biden’s nomination for president in the Democratic Party.
