A man is accused of robbing the North Greenbush Home Depot, and taking off as the store staff tried to stop him.

He then tried to get a ride from people driving by to get away, investigators said.

Jay Ernest, of Averill Park, allegedly stole more than $200 worth of merchandise.

He was captured behind the store.
