Ballston man arrested on multiple gun charges after road rage incident, police say
The New York State Police arrested Aaron J. Delano, 25, of Ballston on September 10 on multiple gun charges and reckless endangerment following a road rage incident that happened on August 28.
State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol got a complaint around 3:05 p.m. reporting that during a road rage incident, a handgun was displayed.
After investigation, police say they determined Delano was involved in a road rage incident with the victim in the area of I-787 in Colonie, which he allegedly brandished and pointed the handgun at the victim.
Police say during the investigation, they located the handgun believed to be from the road rage incident inside Delano’s vehicle and seized it.
Delano was also found to illegally possess multiple firearms and high-capacity magazines inside his Ballston home, said police.
Delano was arrested and charged with the following:
- Three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Second-degree reckless endangerment
- Second-degree menacing
State Police say Delano was arrested at his home and taken to the State Police of Latham, where he was processed. Delano was arraigned in Colonie Town Court and released under the supervision of the Albany County Probation Department.
After, Delano was taken to State Police of Saratoga and processed for the remaining charges. He was arraigned in Malta Town Court and released under the supervision of the Saratoga County Probation Department.
