Ballston man, Scotia woman both arrested for DUI

A Ballston man is facing charges after he was caught driving drunk.

State Police responded to the area of Dunning Street in Malta just before 7 p.m on Saturday for a report of a driver asleep at the wheel.

Police found Jason Tusch asleep when they arrived.

Police then woke him up and arrested him for driving drunk.

He recorded .19 BAC, police said.
He was released and is due back in court at a later date.

A woman from Scotia was also arrested after allegedly almost hitting someone while driving drunk.  

State police were helping the Rexford Fire Department with traffic control in the area of Riverview Road in Clifton Park.
That is when Catherine Hammond almost hit a volunteer firefighter, police said.

Hammond recorded a BAC of .19.

She was released and is due back in court at a later date, police said.
