Ballston Spa mayor shaves head to battle childhood cancer

The mayor of Ballston Spa is probably feeling a bit of a breeze after he shaved his head to help in the fight against childhood cancer. Mayor Frank Rossi took part in his mayor’s challenge in the local Saint Baldrick’s event by shaving his head to raise money.

The annual fundraiser was at the Saratoga City Tavern Saturday.

Rossi vowed to shave his head if 20 or more Scotties athletes and coaches joined in.

Shaving heads brought in a lot of money from the generous community.

Rossi tells us they raised more than $12,500.
