Ballston Spa offers chance to taste and see how maple syrup is made
Every spring, maple trees are tapped in preparation for maple syrup season and producers across the state are getting ready.
This weekend and next are New York’s maple weekends, which give people in the Capital Region a chance to see how maple syrup is made and even get a little taste.
This year, Hop City Maple in Ballston Spa is teaming up with Dickinson’s Delight, a local food truck, to offer maple crepes and other maple goodies.
Maple weekends also feature tree tapping and boiling demonstrations, as well as treats like maple milk.
