Bayer settles Roundup lawsuit
Bayer the pharmaceutical company has agreed to pay nearly $7 million to settle allegations by New York’s attorney general about the safety of the weedkiller Roundup.

The lawsuit alleges that there were false and misleading claims by saying that Roundup won’t harm anything but weeds and does not threaten the health of wildlife.
The sum comes on top of the billions of dollars Bayer has already paid to settle lawsuits over claims that the product causes cancer.
