Bennington Police are telling people to be alert when looking at rental properties.

people are listing apartments for sale on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist in Bennington that they do not own, police said.

They are reminding people to do their own research and make sure the property listed is actually for rent before giving away any personal information.
