One Berkshire County orchard will not be offering apple picking this fall.
Bartlett’s Orchard said it won’t have any apples for patrons to pick.
This is because of an unusual freeze that swept through the region in May. Only a few apples that were growing at a higher elevation will be alright for the harvest season, according to the orchard.
Those apples will be available in their store. The orchard also tells us that they will be able to make cider with this season’s crop.
Bartlett’s Orchard did share some good news. they stated their tomato crop just started to come in and seems to be doing well.
